Understanding the Plan
The foundation of our business
Your income
Promote* quality products that people use every day. Earn in three ways:
• With a basic discount obtained upon purchase of each Amway™ product by a registered customer.
• With rewards calculated based on the growth of your business.
• With the incentives you gain from achieving key milestones in your business.
* Only Amway Business Owners who have duly registered their business activity in their home country with government and tax authorities can receive marketing income.
Retail margin
We have a retail price for each product that is 20% higher for your registered customers than the price for an Amway Business Owner. The difference between ABO price and retail price is the first part of your earnings: your base discount.
Price for an Amway Business Owner - ABOs pay each product at a special price for ABOs.
PV determines your qualifying level
PV stands for point value. Almost all products have a PV. The total PV of all products ordered by you and the personal business group during the month determines the level of your reward. The table shows the PV value you need to reach each month to qualify for different performance bonus percentages. The point values of individual products can be found online.
BV is used to calculate the performance bonus
BV stands for the value of the transaction. Almost all products have a BV value, which determines the amount of reward you will receive at a certain level of reward percentages.
Monthly PV |
Performance Bonus % |
10,000 PV | 21% |
7,000 PV | 18% |
4,000 PV | 15% |
2,400 PV | 12% |
1,200 PV | 9% |
600 PV | 6% |
200 PV | 3% |
Your Income example
Once you've calculated your reward, all you need is a total PV and BV of all orders throughout the month - that's your sales volume. You can watch your monthly PV and BV under the "My Office" tab after logging in to the Amway website. If you are sponsoring a personal business group, then to calculate the total reward, you also need to know what the volume of that group is. You will find that there is a coefficient between the PV and the BV. Total PV determines the percentage level of your reward, and the total BV determines the amount of reward you receive. If you have ABOs that are also eligible for the prize, their portion will be deducted from the gross performance bonus; They will not lose any of their achieved rewards.
Let's say your sales volume is 2,400 PV. Take a look at the table to find your reward percentage.
Your performance bonus is 12%! Excellent! Now we have all the information we need to calculate how much you will earn this month!
The example that follows is based on a PV / BV (PV / €) coefficient of 1,81 and a 20% base discount.
10nly ABOs that are duly registered to carry out an economic activity with state and/or tax authorities can receive rewards and monetary incentives and earnings earned through sales, and can participate in business seminars such as the Management Seminar (LTS) and the Diamond Conference. The same rules apply to the calculation of discounts for Members+. Assumes ABO performs consistently and meets requirements each month. PV/BV ratio of 1.81198 is used as an example only. For the currently valid PV/BV ratio please check Amway webpage or contact Customer Service.
You have earned a 12% bonus by selling products to customers and you have already sponsored 3 downlines (each with customers of their own) who are earning a 3%, 6% and 9% bonus.

4This calculation with suggested 20% retail margin is based on ABO price.
The Differential Bonus is the Performance bonus percentage difference between you and your direct downline ABOs. How to calculate it: your percentage bracket minus the downline ABOs percentage bracket is the differential percentage. If you take the downlines’ group BV x differential percentage, you can calculate your differential bonus.
Your Differential Bonus from A = €49
(9% x 544 BV = €49)
Your Differential Bonus from B = €76
(6% x 1,268 BV = €76)
Your Differential Bonus from C = €65
(3% x 2,174 BV = €65)
Your Monthly Income
Retail Margin + Your Personal Performance Bonus + Your Differential Bonus €36 + €43 + €190 = €270
Your Yearly Income
€270 x 12 = €3,240
